The number of trees per km2 is vastly different wh

The number of trees per km2 is vastly different when comparing different countries. This is highly related to factors such as climate, agriculture, deforestation/reforestation, etc. that can all affect the amount of trees.

The data is taken from a study by T. W. Crowther that was made in 2014 of how many trees exist per km2 in the world. The study defines a tree as a plant with woody stems larger than 10 cm. in diameter at breast height (DBH).

A new insurance law for dental clinics has been made, and Tandlægeforeningen needed their members to understand the risks of not having the insurance. Instead of dry explanations, we crafted a character-driven narrative with bold colors. These are some scenes from the explainer video.

Animations in presentations ✨

When we do presentation design we often look for possibilities to add short animations to the presentation. If done the right way the animations can elevate the understanding of key points, if not they will merely distract the audience.

Here are three quick-fire tips on adding animations to presentations:
🌀: Too much and too quick motion makes the animations distracting.
📖: The animations should help tell the story, not just be an ornament.
🌊: Use them sparingly. Don’t flood your audience with moving visuals.

The current situation in California is deeply trag

The current situation in California is deeply tragic and we feel sorry for everyone affected by the wildfires. According to Global Forest Watch wildfires have become an increasing problem all over the world.

Not only have they become more frequent, they are also becoming increasingly larger.
In 2001 approx. 20,000 km2 of global tree cover was lost and in 2023 the number was 90,000 km2. This is a relative change of +333%.

The main reason for this is climate change. The hotter and drier climate makes wildfire seasons last longer, create more fires, and burn more land area.

Wildfires are unplanned fires, and the data does not include fire clearing for agriculture. Tree cover loss from wildfire is typically a temporary loss, and the tree cover usually regrows.

Combining photos and data visualisation is something that we are continuously working on, and this specific one happened to be finished just before the wildfires broke out.

Statens Serum Institut needed a way to tell the Danish citizens why they sometimes store parts of their samples.

To make it resonate with people, we created a visual concept that brings the journey of a blood sample to life - from collection to storage. This concept forms the foundation of an engaging animation, guiding viewers through the story in a seamless and relatable way.

When creating animated explainer videos, we always sketch out the ideas for each scene to figure out how we want to tell the story. That’s the storyboard. Fast forward through design and animation, we end up with a thoughtfully crafted explainer video, where design and motion supports the story.
