Creating narratives with data

The ROCKWOOL Foundation supports research and knowledge that can strengthen the social and financial sustainability of the welfare state. They published a report on how child development is based on their social background. We contributed by presenting the findings as an animation and interactive data visualization.

Explore the data yourself

The report includes a large amount of dataset, but only a few people are willing and able to explore these in a spreadsheet. So we created an interactive online tool, where the user was able to explore the interesting numbers on their own in an intuitive and simple way.

Bringing data to life

We also wanted to create a coherent storydriven solution that was complementary to the interactive tool. Therefore the user was introduced to the main takeaways as animation as an instruction on the website.
